The business was established in 2008 transporting a wide variety of equines around the UK. As our client base expanded we were asked to introduce the service of moving horses across Europe.
We strictly follow the code of practice for the Welfare & Safe transportation of Horses and Ponies and we are DEFRA and EU approved.
The regulated horseboxes are maintained to a very high standard. All our drivers are qualified (they have over 80 years combined experience) and they ensure the transportation of your equine is carried out with as minimal stress as possible.
Based in Brompton on Swale, North Yorkshire and within a 5-minute drive to A1 motorway. Foster Horse Transport can transport your horse(s) to anywhere in the UK and Ireland and other parts of Europe.
All the vehicles can have the partitions adjusted or removed to adapt the travelling space to the exact configuration that is best suited to the individual equine.
Foster Horse transport are assisting PRP Rescue Ltd and Equine Rescue Services Ltd with emergency breakdown cover.
Our vehicles are inspected every 8 weeks and are licensed to transport over 8 hours. We can handle all breeds of horses.
All horseboxes can be fully equipped with feed and hay, they also come available with both side loading and rear loading low ramps.
Foster Horse Transport Ltd aim to have your horse arrive at your chosen destination healthy and relaxed.
Arrangements made at short notice, but despite this, collection and delivery made with an efficiency second to none. We were kept informed of timings through the day, and our new horse arrived as cool as could be. I would highly recommend this transport company, and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. Thanks to Rusty and Mel for everything

First rate service from a company I would highly recommend. Excellent communications whilst arranging, prior to pick up and prior to delivery. Horse had a long journey but arrived safely and travelled very well in a brand new 3.5t lorry. Driver was very helpful and courteous. I was personally recommended to use Martin Foster Transport by a local Yorkshire livery yard and I have no hesitation in referring others to use them. Thanks very much for a job well done.

An excellent well ran company with one thing at the forefront of their mind. Horse Safety. Martin and his team have helped deliver my wife’s horse to wherever she needed to go in a professional and timely manner. Their dedication to “getting the job done” has been brilliant with not a bad word said from other clients I have had the pleasure of meeting. All in all I would highly recommend Foster Horse Transport. An absolute pleasure to use and definitely use again.
